Complete Genome Sequence of Bisphenol A-Degrading Bacterium Sphingobium sp. Strain A3, Isolated from Contaminated Soil

This study reports the complete genome sequence of bisphenol A-degrading bacterium Sphingobium sp. strain A3, which was isolated from a contaminated soil sample from the site of a factory fire in South Korea. The genome consists of a 6.53-Mbp chromosome and eight plasmid contigs (532,947 bp), with 6,406 protein-coding sequences and a GC content of 63.82%.

Draft Genome Sequences of Eight Campylobacter volucris Isolates from Freshwater Sources in Victoria, Australia

Campylobacter spp. can survive and be transmitted from a range of environments. Here, we examine eight draft genome sequences of Campylobacter volucris, identified as part of an examination of waterborne Campylobacter species. This is the first report of environmental survival of C. volucris outside gull species.

Complete Genome Sequences of Four Atrazine-Degrading Bacterial Strains, Pseudomonas sp. Strain ADPe, Arthrobacter sp. Strain TES, Variovorax sp. Strain 38R, and Chelatobacter sp. Strain SR38

We report here the complete genome sequences of four atrazine-degrading bacteria. Their genomes will serve as references for determining the genetic changes that have occurred during an evolution experiment.

Coding-Complete Genome Sequences of Emerging Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus Type 2 Isolates Detected in 2020 in the United States

Five rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus type 2 (RHDV2) coding-complete genome sequences were obtained from the livers of domestic and wild rabbits during the 2020 outbreak in the United States. These represent the first available RHDV2 sequences from the United States.

Complete Annotated Genome Sequence of Limosilactobacillus fermentum AGR1487

Limosilactobacillus fermentum is a probiotic species; however, L. fermentum AGR1487 increases colon inflammation in germfree mice and decreases barrier integrity in Caco-2 cells. The AGR1487 genome was sequenced to explore these phenotypes. The genome is a single, circular, 1,939,032-bp chromosome with a G+C content of 52.17% and no plasmids.

Draft Genome Sequences of Three Strains of Pseudomonas syringae pv. eriobotryae, a Pathogen Causing Canker Disease in Loquat, Isolated in Japan

The phytopathogenic bacterium Pseudomonas syringae pv. eriobotryae causes canker disease in loquat. Isolates from Japan are classified into three groups based on pathogenicity and pigment production. In this study, we report the draft genome sequences of three strains, one belonging to each of the three groups.

Draft Genome Sequences of Four Commensal Strains of Staphylococcus and Pseudomonas Isolated from Healthy Human Skin

Staphylococcus spp. and Pseudomonas spp. are widely distributed bacteria in the environment and are found in association with animals and humans. Here, we present the draft genome sequence data of the healthy human skin commensal strains Staphylococcus aureus MFP03, Staphylococcus...

Draft Genome Sequences of 284 Xanthomonas citri pv. citri Strains Causing Asiatic Citrus Canker

High-quality Illumina assemblies were produced from 284 Xanthomonas citri pv. citri pathotype A strains mostly originating from the Southwest Indian Ocean region, a subset of which was also sequenced using MinION technology. Some strains hosted chromosomally encoded transcription activator-like effector (TALE) genes, an atypical feature for this bacterium.

Characterization of a Complete Genome Sequence of Molluscum Contagiosum Virus from an Adult Woman in Australia

The complete genome sequence of molluscum contagiosum virus 1 (MOCV1) isolate NT2017 was sequenced from a tissue sample from an Australian woman. The genome consisted of 185,655 bp encoding 169 predicted open reading frames. Phylogenetically, isolate NT2017 was most closely related to an MOCV1 strain from Slovenia.
